Garage door control with MATRIX ZDB

Most garage doors can be controlled remotely and have a 24V supply.
In this example, there is 24V on pins 2 (blue) and 4 (red).
And the trigger is on legs 1 and 2.
Trigger on this port is LOW - i.e. 0V to pin 1.
This is just an example - so you need to check how your port is managed.
Steps:
1
Fibaro Smart Module - FGS-214 can be supplied with 24V, i.e. directly via the door automation.
FGS-214 is added to your home centre - and named.
2
As the port requires a KIP pressure, FGS-214 must be changed to this.
This is done by setting parameter 150 to auto OFF and parameter 154 to 0.5S.
As a result, every time the FGS-214 is switched on, it switches itself off after half a second. The FGS-214 is now like a KIP push.
3
Now MATRIX just needs to be linked to FGS-214.
This can be done via a scene or associations. I prefer the latter, as it also works if your home centre doesn't respond for some reason.
FGS-214 in this setup is called "Port 2 -Garage" and is automatically changed to the device value, which in this setup is 1064.
When the association is saved - it should look like this.
4
The following is a bit of a mess, but this is because FGS-214 cannot send a Basic Report back to MATRIX - and MATRIX cannot send KIP pulses below 1s.
In other words, when you have told the port to adjust up, for example, MATRIX is still switched on as it does not receive a response.
So we do the same trick as on the FGS-214, that it switches itself off.
Key 3 Parameter 32
Value 1 = means automatic switch-off after time expires (staircase lighting function). The time is set in parameter 33.
Parameter 33 is set to 1, which is the time in seconds before the switch switches itself off.
5
Now the gate can be opened, closed or paused by pressing MATRIX.
The only thing missing is feedback on whether the gate is open or closed.
The easiest way to do this is by installing a sensitive strips guard, fibaro door window sensor 2 or a completely different door sensor.
